User Guide
This page will guide you through the process of using Sprite Sheet Producer for the first time. The application has been designed to be as easy to use as possible.
After installation, you can launch the application by double clicking the icon on your desktop (or start menu).
Once loaded you will see the initial display:

To add your sprite images (png, jpg, gif, bmp) click the ‘Add Images’ button at the top left of the screen. This will open a file dialog where you can select one or more images to add. Once you’ve added the images the filenames will appear in the list below the button. If the images aren’t in the correct order simply drag and drop the filenames in the list, or click one and use the Up and Down buttons to move it in the list.
You can preview each sprite by clicking it’s name in the list. A scaled version will display beneath the listing.
Once you’re happy with the order click the Rebuild Sheet button on the right. As this is the first time the sheet has been created it will automatically use the width and height from the first image in the list. NOTE: All images must be the same width and height for the sprite sheet to be created successfully.

If you are happy with the sprite sheet you can save it by clicking Export Sheet (or Export Sprite Sheet on toolbar, or File>Export Sprite Sheet). If your sprite sheet contains PNG transparency you should resave as a PNG to maintain the alpha channel information.
Advanced Options
Sometimes it might be necessary to adjust the sprites size or to use an offset to nudge the sprite within the sheet. You can do all this using the options on the right.
Sprite Width and Height – changing these options allows you to scale the sprite up in either direction.
Column Count – allows you to change the number of columns the final sprite sheet will use.
X and Y Offset – let’s you move the sprite within the sprite sheet, be careful not to move them too much as you might find it overlaps another sprite square.
Update Sheet Automatically – when this is selected making any changes to the options and sprite order will automatically generate an update sheet.
Save your Sprite Sheet
You can save the sprite sheet in case you make changes to the graphics later (File>Save Sheet Layout). When the sprite sheet is reloaded it will restore all the settings and sprites previously set up, saving you the time of settings things up again.
