Asylum – Dev Diary 23

I decided to take an easy week this week and so I spent most of the time creating new environment sprites: hammers, workmen’s helmet, gloves, spanners, mallets, crates, shelves, etc. These are not items that the player can pick up but are necessary for adding detail to the world to make it more believable – especially in the Janitors store rooms.

I also tweaked the lights here and there to improve the way the player is illuminated in certain areas. I will need to revisit this once everything else is in place on the floor and it can be played to completion.

Today also marked the first day when all the principle objects required for the floor are actually in place in the correct rooms. Quite exciting really 🙂
